Hi, I’m Cate. I’m from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where I live happily in my cozy west-end condo. I graduated from the Radio & Television Arts program at Ryerson University in 2005, and subsequently continued to work in the television industry for the following 10+ years. After realizing that TV was no longer my “thing,” I decided to follow my true passion for helping other people. I was accepted to, and currently attend, the Masters of Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University, and plan to register with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario to work as a psychotherapist in the future.

I am a highly creative individual. Creativity is much more than just a skill you list on your resume - I believe it’s a way of life. I’ve brought my creative thinking to every job I’ve had and every project I’ve worked on.

As a future psychotherapist, it is important to me to create a compassionate, empathetic, safe space, where a client can grow and develop their sense of self.

I have spent time working with people of diverse ages and backgrounds. Because of my wide variety of experiences, I am quite skilled at finding commonalities and ways to relate to individuals.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, drawing & colouring, paper crafts, travelling and going to concerts. And coffee. I love coffee.
